LA IMPOSIBILIDAD FÍSICA DE LA DIGESTIÓN EN LAS TRIPAS DE LAGUIEN VIVO

La digestión comienza en la boca cuando se mastican los alimentos y se mezclan con la saliva formándose el bolo alimenticio. La comida es comprimida y dirigida desde la boca hacia el esófago mediante la deglución, y transportada del esófago al estómago. El bolo alimenticio se transforma en quimo al mezclarse con ácido clorhídrico. Este proceso puede durar hasta cuatro horas dependiendo del tipo de alimento ingerido. En una digestión normal, el quimo pasaría al intestino delgado y continuaría el proceso digestivo.
En el caso que nos concierne las arcadas indican la proximidad del vómito. El sistema nervioso simpático hace aumentar el ritmo cardiaco provocando sudoración. Cuando comienza la emesis el contenido del estómago es expulsado de forma violenta y espasmódica, recorriendo el esófago, a través de la boca.

The digestion begins in the mouth when food is chewed and mixed with saliva forming the cud. The food is compressed and directed from the mouth into the esophagus by swallowing, and transported from the esophagus to the stomach. The bolus is transformed into chyme by mixing with hydrochloric acid. This process can take up to four hours depending on the type of food eaten. In normal digestion, would continue chyme to the small intestine and would carry on the digestive process.
In this case, the arcades indicate the proximity of vomiting. The sympathetic nervous system increases heart rate causing sweating. When starts the emesis, stomach contents is expelled violently and spasmodically, touring the esophagus through the mouth.
